Time Wasting

Time wasting is spending your clock badly — burning minutes on simple or forced moves, then rushing the hard ones. Your clock is a resource just like your pieces, and mismanaging it loses games even when the moves themselves are fine. Spend your time where the position is genuinely tricky.
