Gambito
Gambito is a Ferzia chess bot with a displayed 1900 ELO training target. Sacrifices a pawn in the opening every game without exception. Playable on the Basic tier with no download required.
About Gambito
Gambito lives by one rule: if you can't give away a pawn on move 2, why are you even playing chess? King's Gambit, Queen's Gambit, Evans Gambit, Smith-Morra — the opening doesn't matter as long as something gets sacrificed. He's memorised 15 moves of gambit theory and exactly zero moves of anything else.
Playing style
Committed gambiteer. Sacrifices material in the opening for rapid development and initiative. Plays for the attack from move one; collapses quickly if the gambit is correctly declined or refuted.
How to beat Gambito
- Plays aggressively and looks to attack — offer trades to defuse the initiative rather than let the position stay sharp.
- Spots tactics quickly — keep pieces defended and avoid loose back-rank or fork patterns.
- Weaker in simplified positions — trading down into an endgame favors you if you have even a small edge.
- Willing to take risks and overextend — solid, principled play punishes the overreach.
- Prioritizes attacking the king — keep your king safe and avoid loosening the pawn shield in front of it.
How to interpret the displayed ELO
The number is a Ferzia training target, not an official FIDE rating or a claim that one game predicts a human result. Stockfish documents why engine ratings depend on match conditions and large samples; FIDE publishes separate regulations for ratings from registered over-the-board results. Historical-persona copy is a stylised product characterisation, not a biography.
