Freya
Freya is a Ferzia chess bot with a displayed 2200 ELO training target. A crafty tactician who thrives in complicated positions. Playable on the Basic tier with no download required.
About Freya
Freya learned chess from her grandfather and developed a love for wild, tactical games. She plays aggressively, seeks complications, and is dangerous when the position opens up — but sometimes overextends when patience would serve her better.
Playing style
Aggressive tactical play with a preference for open positions. Pushes for kingside attacks, values pawn structure highly, and plays for the win rather than a safe draw.
How to beat Freya
- Plays it safe and avoids imbalances — you may need to create the complications yourself to get real winning chances.
- Prioritizes attacking the king — keep your king safe and avoid loosening the pawn shield in front of it.
- Very structure-conscious — provoke a pawn weakness early and it will matter for the rest of the game.
- Tends to steer into ECO A00, A04 structures — review these in the opening explorer before you play.
How to interpret the displayed ELO
The number is a Ferzia training target, not an official FIDE rating or a claim that one game predicts a human result. Stockfish documents why engine ratings depend on match conditions and large samples; FIDE publishes separate regulations for ratings from registered over-the-board results. Historical-persona copy is a stylised product characterisation, not a biography.
